Graduate Assistant - Non Teaching - Student Organizations - Fall 2026

About The Position
The primary function of the Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations is to help manage student organizations and organize comprehensive programs related to involvement. These programs are designed to enhance the total learning experience for students by providing co-curricular opportunities. This Graduate Assistant should gain experience in advising, programming, leadership development, and assessment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Currently admitted to a UCM graduate degree program
- 3.0 or higher graduate level GPA if previous graduate level courses have been taken
- 2.7 or higher undergraduate level GPA if no previous graduate level courses have been taken
Responsibilities
- Serve as administrator for Central Connect, the University’s organization management software
- Organize online student organization registration
- Keep student organization records and database updated and accurate
- Create a weekly electronic student newsletter
- Assist with maintaining student organization website
- Evaluate and maintain student organization policies, procedures and resources
- Plan involvement fair during Week of Welcome for all student organization (Fall & Spring)
- Assist with creating & implementing student organization and advisor training
- Assist with organization and implementation of bi-annual Student Funding Committee operations
- Assist in advising the Homecoming Leadership Committee
- Assist with coverage of weekend and evening events
- Assist in daily operation of the Office of Student Activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
