About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, fine arts, or a related human services field
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a recreation or life engagement role within a retirement community, skilled care, or assisted living environment
• Current CPR certification is preferred but not required

Nice To Haves

• Certification through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) or completion of a state-approved Activity Coordinator course is preferred
• Dementia Engagement certification from an approved program (or must obtain within the first year of employment)

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing programs and events that deliver the Acts Signature Experience (ASE) wellness culture
• Fostering a vibrant and engaging community environment
• Integrating the three core dimensions of life balance (body, mind, and spirit) to support residents in enhancing and sustaining their overall quality of life
• Empowering residents to pursue personalized wellness journeys by creating opportunities for goal setting, growth, and meaningful engagement across all dimensions of well-being
• Leading and supporting community engagement efforts aligned with operational and management objectives, ensuring a high standard of resident satisfaction and participation
