Accounts Payable Specialist

About The Position
Employee will perform general accounts payable functions, including coding, vouchering and processing payments. This role involves processing invoices for payment for several subsidiary companies of National Beverage Corp., matching quantities, checking prices against contracts, and vouchering check requests. The position also requires maintaining vendor files, reconciling vendor statements, updating listings, and performing general A/P duties. Additionally, the role demands the ability to interact positively with others, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- 1 - 2 years related work experience in Accounting.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Advanced computer literacy required with proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Good organizational skills.
- Must be able to prioritize work and manage multiple projects.
Nice To Haves
- Some college preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices for payment for several subsidiary companies of National Beverage Corp.
- Match quantity received to quantity invoiced.
- Ensure a bill of lading has been entered by the plant -- generating a receiving document.
- Check price invoiced by item to the agreed upon contract price to ensure that invoice is correct.
- Voucher check requests using proper GL code.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been paid.
- Follow due date requirements on all invoices.
- Update vendor/plant listings.
- Perform general A/P duties.
- File paperwork.
- Ability to interact with the public and other employees in a positive manner and promote a cooperative working environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Consistently sets the example of professional appearance and standards of behavior.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
