The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for developing, coordinating, monitoring and managing the facility Wound Care Program to ensure the delivery of care meets the standard of care. This role involves initiating nursing evaluations, implementing treatment plans, documenting wound healing, and coordinating care rounds. The nurse will also provide consultation, in-services, and training on skin and wound care, and may float to other units as needed. Maintaining certifications, complying with regulations, and performing other assigned duties are also part of the role.
