Wound Care Nurse - RN - PRN
About The Position
RestorixHealth is hiring a Wound Care Registered Nurse to plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process to achieve optimal outcomes. The nurse works collaboratively with other disciplines on the assigned unit, prioritizes nursing actions, and implements physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames. Prior wound care experience is not required; ongoing training is provided. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends. Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Valid Registered Nursing license.
- Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with wound care patients; training will be provided.
- Prior experience with billing and coding.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for Magnet Hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice.
- Recognize changes in a patient’s condition and intervene appropriately.
- Prioritize nursing actions to reflect patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
- Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families about wound care processes and issues.
- Collaborate with other disciplines on the assigned unit.
- Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process.
