About The Position
We are seeking experienced, reliable, and hard-working Night Shift Pipe Welders for our client in Northwest Houston. This is a temp-to-hire position with potential for long-term employment. The role involves performing pipe welding and fabrication of carbon steel components, including pipes, flanges, couplings, and pressure vessel assemblies. Successful candidates will utilize SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes, adhering to quality and safety standards. The job requires performing welds in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead), operating welding equipment, assisting with material movement, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Passing required welding performance tests is mandatory.
Requirements
- Experience with Stick, MIG, and Flux Core welding processes.
- Ability to pass required weld tests, including 3G and 6”/2” rollout weld testing.
- Ability to read and follow welding procedures and shop instructions.
- Experience welding carbon steel pipe components.
- Must be able to work safely in a fabrication shop environment.
- Must be able to handle physical demands including standing, climbing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 45 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- 1 + year of pipe welding/fabrication experience preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED or trade school experience preferred.
Responsibilities
