Maguire is hiring a Shop Welder for its new tank division. The role involves welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces and products using flame-cutting and hand-welding equipment. The welder must have a good knowledge of welding techniques and produce quality work. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The position works 36 hours and is paid for 40 hours if specific conditions are met. The role requires planning work-order procedures, gathering the tools and materials needed for each job, and repairing and fabricating items and equipment through cutting, burning, and welding. Faulty equipment or defective materials must be reported to a supervisor. Other duties may be assigned. The work may involve welding components in vertical, flat, or overhead positions, precision work, and moving through facilities and around machinery. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times and to climb, balance, walk, stoop, and carry materials. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.
