About The Position
Seeking Welders for a fabrication shop job starting ASAP and lasting through the end of November. The job is located at a fabrication shop in Baytown, Texas, and runs for six weeks. The schedule is 50–70 hours per week. The Welder performs SMAW and GTAW welding, fits up and fabricates materials according to drawings, reads blueprints and welding symbols, inspects welds for quality and accuracy, and follows all safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience.
- Proficiency in multiple welding processes: SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Must pass required drug/alcohol screening.
Nice To Haves
- Shop or fabrication experience preferred.
- Welding certifications preferred, or ability to pass qualification tests.
