About The Position

Pro Mechanical Services Co. is seeking Travel Welders for a contract position with a manufacturer in Canton, Ohio. The role pays $35 per hour, with $120 per day in per diem for eligible workers who live more than 100 miles outside Canton. Weekly pay is offered. The schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, with some weekends. Third shift is available. Welders must be able to pass a box pressure test and fabricate according to prints.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven on-the-job experience in this field, including 5+ years of MIG experience.
• Ability to pass a MIG pressure test and a box pressure test.
• Ability to fabricate according to prints.
• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to work overtime if needed.
• Must live more than 100 miles outside Canton, Ohio, to qualify for the travel pay rate and per diem.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various types of material.
• Set up the welding machine based on each task.
• Use cutting tools, power tools, and other related equipment.
• Operate forklifts and an overhead crane.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Use a tape measure.
• Keep the workstation clean and organized.
