About The Position

Pro Mechanical Services Co. is seeking Travel Welders for a contract position with a manufacturer in Canton, Ohio. To qualify for the travel pay rate and per diem, candidates must live at least 100 miles outside Canton. The role involves MIG welding on various materials, fabricating according to prints, and passing a box pressure test. Pay is $35 per hour plus $120 per day in per diem. Weekly pay is provided. Third shift is available. The schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, with some weekends. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven on-the-job experience in the field.
• At least 5 years of MIG experience.
• Pass a MIG pressure test and a box pressure test.
• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to work overtime if needed.
• Must live at least 100 miles outside Canton, Ohio, to qualify for the travel pay rate and per diem.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various types of material.
• Set up welding machines based on each task.
• Fabricate according to prints.
• Use cutting tools, power tools, and other related equipment.
• Operate forklifts and an overhead crane.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Use a tape measure.
• Keep the workstation clean and organized.
