About The Position

Requirements

• At least one year of previous veterinary experience is preferred.
• Genuine love and respect for animals.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working with animals of different sizes and temperaments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient in sample collection and obtaining medical histories.
• Self-starter with a desire to continue advancing knowledge and skills.

Nice To Haves

• Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations and treatments.
• Safely restrain and handle dogs, cats, and other patients.
• Prepare examination and treatment areas.
• Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Assist with animal care, feeding, walking, and monitoring.
• Collect, prepare, and perform laboratory samples as directed.
• Assist with radiographs and ultrasounds.
• Help maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients in person and over the phone.
• Provide support during procedures and appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the veterinary team.
