About The Position
Examination of instructional design and assessment strategies, models of inquiry and critical thinking, and approaches to curriculum integration relevant to the primary division (kindergarten to grade 3); special focus on Physical and Health Education and Science Ontario Curriculum and other pedagogical resources. In Teacher Education, Hybrid means that all courses include ten in-person sessions offered on campus at the University of Ottawa (30 in-person instructional hours) and two online course modules, delivered through Brightspace, which provide the equivalent of 6 instructional hours.
Requirements
- Masters degree in education
- Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario
- Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level
- Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers
