Functional and operational experience in Supply Chain Management and Operations is necessary to define business requirements and drive best-in-class processes. Responsibilities include staffing, recruiting, training, talent development, engagement, and retention. Negotiation expertise for contract vehicles and managing contractual milestones are also key. The role involves ensuring supplier capacity and capabilities, optimizing material flow, and identifying areas for supplier performance improvement and cost reduction. The Senior Manager will initiate corrective actions, provide timely status reports to management and customers, and support Small Business initiatives. Essential functions include obtaining US Government security clearance, managing complex subcontracts (hardware, software, services), communicating effectively across professional levels, leading direct reports, managing department and program budgets, navigating FAR/DFARS regulations, and generating spending plans and variance reports. The role requires following strategic direction and may involve travel.
