Supply Chain Contracts Manager

IREN•San Francisco, CA
•$190,000 - $240,000•Hybrid

About The Position

IREN is a leading AI Cloud Service Provider delivering large-scale GPU clusters for AI training and inference. Its vertically integrated platform includes grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada. IREN states that its data centers are powered by 100% renewable energy and emphasizes responsible, sustainable operations with positive community impact. The Supply Chain Contracts Manager facilitates contracting between Technical Sourcing Managers and Legal for HPC hardware, networking, fiber, and energy infrastructure suppliers. This individual-contributor role supports Sourcing by moving agreements—including NDAs, master supply and service agreements, statements of work, purchase terms, and amendments—from initiation to signature. The role works closely with Sourcing Managers, Procurement, and Legal and uses Ironclad CLM tooling. The position is listed as full-time and hybrid. Because IREN does not yet have a Bay Area office, the role will initially work remotely and transition to hybrid on-site work once the planned Santa Clara office opens. The role supports the end-to-end contracting process, conducts first-pass agreement reviews and redlines, maintains contracting workflows and templates, tracks obligations and renewals, assesses contract exposure, and measures contracting cycle time. It also translates supply chain requirements into contract terms and participates in negotiations for the largest awards. The position requires the ability to commute to the assigned office on scheduled in-office days once applicable and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to supplier and vendor sites, data centers, implementation partner locations, and industry events. Pre-employment screening, including a background check and substance testing, may be required under company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of contract management experience, including at least 3 years working directly in procurement or supply chain contracting.
  • Substantive knowledge of procurement agreements, including NDAs, master supply and master service agreements, statements of work, purchase order terms, order forms, amendments, and renewals, and related provisions covering allocation, pricing, lead time, warranty, indemnity, limitation of liability, intellectual property, and termination.
  • Hands-on experience contracting for data center and HPC hardware, networking and optics, fiber and backbone, or construction, facilities, and energy services, including CM/ODM and distributor agreements.
  • Hands-on experience administering a contract lifecycle management tool, including workflow design, templates, approval routing, repository, and reporting.
  • Experience conducting first-pass reviews and redlining agreements to a playbook, escalating non-standard terms to counsel, and exercising judgment about when to be flexible and when to hold a position.
  • Working knowledge of export controls, sanctions, tariffs, and data-security terms as they apply to compute and networking hardware suppliers.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage more than 30 concurrent agreements at different stages, track obligations and renewals, and report status proactively.
  • Clear writing and the ability to explain contract terms to sourcing managers, engineers, and executives who are not lawyers.
  • A track record of influencing Sourcing, Legal, and Finance without direct authority.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the assigned office location on scheduled in-office days under the hybrid arrangement.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to supplier and vendor sites, data centers, implementation partner locations, and industry events.
