About The Position

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of apartment maintenance experience
• EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) required
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general maintenance
• Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to delivering exceptional resident service
• Ability to work weekends and participate in an on-call rotation

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory or lead maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all daily maintenance operations for the community
• Supervise, train, and develop maintenance team members while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer service
• Oversee service requests, apartment turns, preventative maintenance programs, and vendor relationships
• Troubleshoot and manage repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and building systems
• Ensure common areas, amenities, grounds, and building exteriors consistently meet AMLI's high standards
• Conduct regular property inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
• Manage inventory, supplies, equipment, and maintenance-related expenses
• Partner with the Community Manager on budgeting, capital projects, and long-term maintenance planning
• Enforce OSHA regulations, safety standards, and AMLI policies
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed
