As a Warehousing Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring seed corn is stored, handled, and distributed safely and efficiently. You will coordinate seed movement between facilities, oversee shipping and receiving activities, and provide leadership and direction to warehouse team members. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting seasonal operational demands, and driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of warehouse, manufacturing, agricultural production, or logistics experience required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and proactively anticipate operational needs.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience managing employee schedules, safety programs, inventory, shipping/receiving, and material handling equipment strongly preferred.
  • Experience in seed, agriculture, grain handling, or other regulated production environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize warehouse operations to maximize staging, storage, and workflow efficiency.
  • Manage cold storage operations, including filling, startup, and shutdown activities.
  • Conduct annual reviews of operational processes to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead and facilitate bi-weekly departmental safety meetings.
  • Investigate, document, and review workplace accidents and incidents.
  • Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve employee safety and injury prevention.
  • Oversee pest control activities for the entire facility.
  • Manage staffing needs, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and employee development.
  • Assist the Production Planner with forecasting FastFills and pallets to support production and inventory planning.
  • Plan and coordinate the movement of seed throughout the facility and off-site locations.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities for unstaged seed at off-site locations, including DD, BSS, TSP, and MN.
  • Oversee the movement of seed from conditioning and direct storage locations.
  • Oversee pallet repair activities, including staffing coordination and supply purchasing.
  • Coordinate box washing operations to ensure cleanliness and reuse standards are met.
  • Lead and coordinate year-end inventory counting activities and reconciliation processes.
  • Manage forklift leasing requirements and vendor relationships for the facility.
  • Oversee discard and disposal processes for seed, paper, and poly materials.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations and development discussions for key team members.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
