About The Position

Emerson is seeking a productive leader for their Warehousing and Distribution Supervisor role in Sherman, Texas. This position involves supervising the NPW Warehouse team, ensuring a safe, quality-conscious, and cost-efficient operation. The role is specifically for the weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6 AM to 6 PM. The supervisor will be responsible for developing work procedures, investigating service requests, driving timely delivery of customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and reducing costs and lead times. This role also involves serving as an interface between employees and staff, holding regular meetings to discuss performance and objectives, and participating in Cell activities to optimize performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of five (5) years of functional and/or operational experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to optimally apply interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Communicate optimally to provide information to all levels of employees in a global organization.
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Two (2) years of functional supervisory/leadership experience.
Proven understanding of applicable products and processes in a Cell, preferred.
Lean Manufacturing training / experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, evaluate, and schedule work for up to 25 Internal Employees and Contractors.
Develop and detail work procedures and instructions.
Investigate Service Requests and set corrective actions as needed.
Drive and be accountable for meeting timely delivery of customer orders, inventory accuracy to meet plant goals, and continuous improvement of cost and lead-time reduction of the value stream.
Promote and achieve continuous improvement of cost and lead-time reduction of the value stream.
Serve as an interface between employees and staff and hold regular toolbox meetings to discuss performance against targets, problems, and the day's work schedule.
Ensure effective team communication to maintain dedication to objectives and hold meetings.
Participate in Cell activities as appropriate to optimize Cell performance.
