About The Position
Learn real-world imaging in a supportive department. As a Student Radiology Tech at NARMC, you’ll perform radiographic tasks under direct supervision, develop strong positioning and safety habits, and build confidence for your ARRT exam and future RT role. Requirements
- Enrollment in a recognized Radiologic Science & Technology program
- BLS certification
- English proficiency

- Prior radiation safety education
- Related patient-care experience
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures under the supervision of registered Radiologic Technologists.
- Assist with patient transport and room turnover.
- Document exams in Meditech.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures.
- Apply technique charts, select/operate equipment, and position patients.
- Evaluate image quality and identifiers.
- Complete Meditech entries/charges and burn CDs.
- Maintain room stock and report equipment issues.
- Assist physicians during exams.
- Follow HIPAA and biohazard disposal protocols.
- Practice safe body mechanics.
- Progress through a defined competency list (e.g., chest, abdomen, spine, extremity, portable, OR) under direct supervision.
