About The Position

Learn real-world imaging in a supportive department. As a Student Radiology Tech at NARMC, you’ll perform radiographic tasks under direct supervision, develop strong positioning and safety habits, and build confidence for your ARRT exam and future RT role. Requirements

  • Enrollment in a recognized Radiologic Science & Technology program
  • BLS certification
  • English proficiency

  • Prior radiation safety education
  • Related patient-care experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic procedures under the supervision of registered Radiologic Technologists.
  • Assist with patient transport and room turnover.
  • Document exams in Meditech.
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures.
  • Apply technique charts, select/operate equipment, and position patients.
  • Evaluate image quality and identifiers.
  • Complete Meditech entries/charges and burn CDs.
  • Maintain room stock and report equipment issues.
  • Assist physicians during exams.
  • Follow HIPAA and biohazard disposal protocols.
  • Practice safe body mechanics.
  • Progress through a defined competency list (e.g., chest, abdomen, spine, extremity, portable, OR) under direct supervision.
