About The Position

Haywood Regional Medical Center is hiring a Radiology Tech Student to support its patient-focused Imaging Team. The role contributes to diagnostic imaging services by taking radiographs, preparing films for interpretation, and maintaining supplies and equipment in assigned areas. The student works in an imaging department that performs X-ray, CT, and MRI services in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Working toward completion of a bachelor's degree, diploma, or associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an approved Radiology Technology course.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Radiology Student 1: Actively enrolled and in good standing in the first year of an accredited Radiology program.
• Radiology Student 2: Actively enrolled and in good standing in the second year of an accredited Radiology program, with competencies in the radiologic exams being performed.

Responsibilities

• Take diagnostic radiographs of various parts of the body to assist medical staff in diagnosing disease, injury, and the location of foreign bodies.
• Develop and prepare films for interpretation.
• Maintain supplies and clean equipment in assigned areas.
