About The Position
At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, innovation and integrity are core values. The team designs advanced radar systems and seeks talented individuals passionate about RADAR and Electronic Warfare Technology. Lockheed Martin provides surface, air, and undersea solutions, including radar and surveillance systems, undersea combat systems, and surface combat systems and sensors. The Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) business is looking for a software engineering professional to support multiple programs and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (design, code, and test). This role involves leveraging RMS software engineering processes and procedures for software engineering and verification activities. The software engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel, and participate in cross-functional six sigma style product or process improvement meetings. Continuous learning and staying up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools are encouraged. The ideal candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. Requirements
- An applicable educational background in software systems and software development techniques is required
- A proficiency in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) using C++, C#, or Java
- Experience with Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object Oriented Design (OOD) is required
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration, as this position requires a government security clearance
Nice To Haves
- Solid analytical/debug and SW/HW integration and test skills
- Software development skills to include C/C++/C# and/or Java
- Experience with Cameo, DOORS, VxWorks, or UML modeling tools
- Experience with formal software testing, verification, and validation
- Real Time Embedded SW Engineering skills
Responsibilities
- Support multiple programs
