As a Software Engineer I, you will design, implement, and test software components that support critical aerospace systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure software quality, reliability, and maintainability while working independently and within structured development and verification processes. You will report directly to the Software Engineering Manager and work from the Clearwater, Florida location, with a hybrid option available after an initial 90-day period. The role supports automated test stations and involves designing and maintaining robust software architectures and applications aligned with system-level requirements. You will work with avionics and communication interfaces, write maintainable code—particularly in object-oriented languages such as C++—and prepare documentation including user guides, technical specifications, design records, and release notes. The position requires a technical bachelor’s degree, 0–1 year of hands-on software development experience, Visual Studio .NET development proficiency in C++ or C#, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements.
