  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, subject to the stated substitutions.
  • Two years of Cloud and/or Distributed Computing Information Retrieval experience, plus one year each implementing code interacting with a Cloud Big Table implementation; a Cloud Distributed File System; complex MapReduce analytics; and Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks; architecting Cloud Computing solutions; debugging Cloud-based Distributed Computing Frameworks; and managing multi-node Cloud-based installations.
  • Experience with computer network operations, including utility computing, network management, virtualization (VMware or VirtualBox), Cloud Computing, and multi-node management and installation using Python, CFEngine, Bash, Ruby, or related technologies.
  • Information assurance experience securing Cloud-based and distributed applications using industry-standard techniques such as firewalls, PKI certificates, and server authentication, including experience with corporate authentication services.
  • Experience with object-oriented design and programming, Java, Eclipse or a similar development environment, Maven, RESTful web services, aspect-oriented design and development, and UNIX/Linux (CentOS).
  • Experience with Cloud and Distributed Computing technologies, including one or more of YARN, J2EE, MapReduce, ZooKeeper, HDFS, HBase, JMS, concurrent programming, and multi-node implementation or installation.
  • Experience with Cloud and Distributed Computing Information Retrieval technologies, including one or more of HDFS, HBase, Apache Lucene, Apache Solr, and MongoDB.
  • Experience ingesting, parsing, and analyzing disparate data sources and formats, including XML, JSON, CSV, binary formats, Sequence or Map files, Avro, and related technologies.
  • Experience debugging and profiling Cloud and Distributed installations, including JVM memory management and profiling Java applications.
  • SIGINT experience in at least one collection discipline (FORNSAT, CABLE, Terrestrial/Microwave, Overhead, or ELINT), and experience with geolocation, emitter identification and signal applications, joint program collection platforms and dataflow architectures, and signals characterization analysis.
  • Experience with CentOS, Linux/Red Hat, and configuration management tools such as Subversion, ClearQuest, or Razor.
  • Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph.
  • Experience with AWS and DevOps.

Nice To Haves

  • Java or front-end experience with Angular or TypeScript; legacy AngularJS is excluded.
  • In-depth Information Retrieval knowledge.
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert for Cloud Computing and Hadoop.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems based on documented requirements.
  • Contribute to back-end processing, analyzing, and indexing.
  • Assist with designing, developing, and testing Cloud Information Retrieval systems and Cloud Computing systems.
  • Implement workflows for Cloud MapReduce analytics and code that interacts with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
  • Debug Cloud-based Distributed Computing Frameworks and manage multi-node Cloud installations.
  • Architect solutions to complex Cloud software engineering problems, including efficient processing and retrieval of large amounts of data.
  • Oversee software development tasks, delegate programming and testing to teams, and select development processes with the customer and systems engineering.
