About The Position

Nimble is hiring a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain cloud applications and automation workflows. The role involves delivering features end to end across frontend, backend, CI, and infrastructure; writing and reviewing tests and code; deploying and supporting production systems; and measuring and debugging performance. The engineer will also mentor junior engineers. The position is based at 488 8th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least one year of experience as a Software Engineer, R&D Engineer, or in a related position.
Demonstrated experience in or knowledge of building full-stack cloud applications, including frontend and backend.
Demonstrated experience in or knowledge of REST, SQL, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, message brokering, and Docker.
Demonstrated experience in or knowledge of writing unit and integration tests.
Demonstrated experience in or knowledge of technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and sequence diagramming.
Demonstrated experience in or knowledge of cloud security practices.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automation workflows.
Write unit, integration, and system tests, and conduct reviews to ensure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and tuned for performance and quality.
Push and maintain code in production and be available for production support.
Measure and debug performance bottlenecks for a suite of products.
Ship features end to end across frontend, backend, CI, and infrastructure.
Mentor junior engineers.
