Software Engineer - Journal Team

About The Position
The Apple Journal team is seeking an iOS app developer to help build applications across Apple platforms. The role involves building features for upcoming releases, prototyping feature concepts, and ensuring a positive user experience. The engineer will collaborate with other engineers, partner with designers, and coordinate with teams including iOS and macOS. The position requires deep knowledge of Swift and UIKit and/or SwiftUI, comfort adapting to evolving designs and requirements, and strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Swift and/or Objective-C design patterns.
- At least 2 years of experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI.
- Ability to architect UI features cleanly.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Passion for quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently learn new technologies.
- Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional product experiences.
Responsibilities
- Implement new features.
- Prototype ideas to help define features.
- Communicate ideas to Apple's design team and other cross-functional teams.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews.
- Explore frameworks and technologies that may help implement new features.
- Build internal tools as needed to help ship high-quality software.
