Senior Software Engineer, AML Engineering
About The Position
Social Finance, LLC is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its AML Engineering team in Seattle, Washington. The role involves designing, architecting, and implementing end-to-end software solutions with cross-functional teams. The engineer will use programming languages, frameworks, and technologies to deliver high-quality, scalable applications and work with senior engineers to translate business needs into software solutions, techniques, metrics, dashboards, and data visualizations. The position focuses on backend development, including secure and scalable server-side applications, microservices, APIs, databases, data models, and data pipelines. The engineer will test software components to ensure reliability and functionality and mentor junior engineers in technical best practices. Part-time telecommuting is an option; the role is hybrid from SoFi offices in Seattle, Washington.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Special skills: Java, Python, AWS, Agile Development Methodology, Test-Driven Development, all phases of the SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, GitHub/GitLab or another source code repository management tool, Spring Boot, React, SQL, data structures, JavaScript, design patterns, operating systems, microservices, and Docker.
- Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, architect, and implement end-to-end software solutions.
- Use programming languages, frameworks, and technologies to deliver high-quality, scalable software applications.
- Partner with senior engineers to translate business needs into software solutions, techniques, metrics, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure server-side applications, microservices, and APIs.
- Work with databases and data models to manage and store information effectively.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
- Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure application reliability and functionality.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in technical best practices and foster engineering excellence.
