Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.
• Associate’s degree and one year of experience in security operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions.
• Additional relevant experience may substitute for required education at a rate of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
• Understanding of security operations and knowledge of supervisory practices.
• Planning, organizing, and leadership skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and service delivery orientation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively across social levels and diverse cultures.
• Ability to take initiative and achieve results.
• Ability to maintain composure with authorities, clients, staff, and the public, including during urgent or high-pressure situations.

• Must meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey.

• Must regularly use a vehicle in the performance of duties.
• Must be able to respond on call to emergencies and incidents at all hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a shift or segment of guarding operations at multiple sites, supervising subordinate officers and supervisory staff and ensuring high-quality service.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, evaluate service quality, inspect posts, and initiate timely corrective action.
• Meet with line management and client representatives to provide status updates and address actual or potential problems.
• Support client start-ups; contribute to security planning, assessments, and surveys; review post orders and communicate requirements and changes to affected personnel.
• Coordinate employee orientation, training, development, and retention with line management; coach employees and carry out disciplinary actions as needed.
• Treat staff with dignity and respect and ensure staff understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain and submit payroll records and other employee and business information; review client and company reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters with line management.
• Adjust schedules and staffing to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs; review reports to confirm commitments were met and client directions followed.
• Provide input to company initiatives and assist line management with legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.
• Perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned office.
