As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will communicate clearly with visitors and personnel while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at municipal government locations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and/or responding agencies.
