About The Position
HJ Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trach Nurse to support a student in a school setting. This position is ideal for a nurse with pediatric experience who is confident in tracheostomy care and is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment for children with special medical needs.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) license (state-specific).
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; pediatric or school-based nursing preferred.
- Hands-on experience with tracheostomy care required.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and professionalism.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and monitoring for a student with a tracheostomy during the school day.
- Administer suctioning, emergency care, and medication management as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
- Document all care provided in compliance with school and healthcare regulations.
- Maintain infection control standards and respond calmly in emergency situations
