School Nurse - Registered Nurse
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse with a passion for school nursing to join its Passaic County skilled nursing team. The role provides compassionate, high-quality one-on-one care to clients in their homes, with flexible scheduling and client locations near the nurse’s home. Private duty nursing offers traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, hands-on care for one client, and opportunities to build relationships and observe client milestones. Clients range in age from infants to older adults and have varying diagnoses and acuity levels. Nurses travel to one client’s home on a schedule they choose, carry out and document doctors’ orders, assess and monitor clients’ conditions, and record observations, interventions, and evaluations. BAYADA provides paid training in the office, in the home, and online; practice in adult and pediatric simulation labs; electronic charting using Statewise; and around-the-clock clinical support by phone. The posting states an independent work rate of $40.00 per hour and offers flexible scheduling with no minimums, including full-time, part-time, and per-diem options. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 and a $1,200 nurse referral bonus are advertised. Benefits are subject to employment type.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
- At least 5 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities
