About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse with a passion for school nursing to join its Passaic County skilled nursing team. The role provides compassionate, high-quality, reliable one-on-one care to clients in their homes, with flexible scheduling based on the nurse’s availability and a short commute near home. Nurses travel to one client home, follow and document doctors’ orders, assess and monitor client conditions, and record observations, interventions, and evaluations. Private duty nursing offers traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, hands-on care with one client, and the opportunity to build client relationships and observe milestones. Clients range from infants to geriatric patients and have varied diagnoses and acuity levels. BAYADA provides paid training in the office, in the home, and online; practice in adult and pediatric simulation labs; around-the-clock clinical support by phone; and electronic charting using Statewise. Compensation is listed as an independent work rate of $40.00 per hour. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 and a nurse referral bonus of $1,200 are also offered.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
• A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
• At least 5 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to one client’s home according to a schedule selected by the nurse.
