About The Position

Ontario Christian School is seeking an as-needed Substitute School Nurse to provide compassionate care for elementary and middle school students when the school nurse is absent. The role supports a safe and healthy school environment by providing basic medical care and first aid, administering authorized medications and treatments, and responding calmly to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. The Substitute School Nurse follows established student care plans and school health procedures, maintains accurate and confidential health records, and communicates effectively with parents, staff, and school administration. Ontario Christian School is an independent Christian school serving students from PK–12th grade and families representing more than 200 churches throughout the Inland Empire. Requirements

Hold a current California Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
Hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Have one to three years of experience working with school-age children.
Have strong organizational and communication skills.
Be able to exercise sound judgment while caring for students with a variety of health needs.

Nice To Haves
