About The Position

The Operator/Scheduler is a full-time position responsible for managing incoming phone calls, directing them appropriately, and utilizing the Practice Management System to inform patients of appointment information. This role involves documenting patient calls in the EMR, communicating effectively with medical staff, and assisting patients with necessary intake forms, including demographic, medical history, and financial verification. Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Previous phone experience a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Electronic Medical / Health Records (EMR) experience
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and use overhead paging system.
  • Access Practice Management System to inform patients of appointment information.
  • Formulate phone notes from patient calls in EMR.
  • Works directly with medical staff to ensure accurate communication and understanding between patient and staff.
  • Assists patients in completing all necessary intake forms at initial visit, including but not limited to, demographic and medical history and financial verification.
