About The Position

The Patient Scheduler manages patient appointment scheduling, ensures accurate documentation, and delivers high-quality customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role is hybrid in Indianapolis, with on-site training followed by remote work, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position is contract to hire and pays $16 per hour. The scheduler handles approximately 50–70 inbound calls daily and communicates with patients and internal teams.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent call center experience.
• Strong customer service and data entry skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing workflows or departmental needs.
• High attention to detail, especially with data entry.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to think quickly in challenging situations.
• Demonstrates empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Manage 50–70 inbound calls daily.
• Follow and reinforce scheduling policies and procedures.
• Communicate essential information for each scheduled appointment to patients and internal teams.
• Audit and/or complete electronic documentation of patient and case information in a timely manner.
• Maintain high-quality standards while meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, peers, and supervisors on a daily basis.
