About The Position

Requirements

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Completes Orientation Checklist.
• Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety & CPR/BLS Recertification.
• Theoretical knowledge combined with beginning level clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of various backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Directing care for a team of patients.
• Performing independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs.
• Demonstrating competencies essential in the use of all equipment utilized in the care of patient age groups as indicated.
• Progressing to the CN II level within one year.
