About The Position

The Clinic Registered Nurse works under the direct clinical supervision of the physician and under the general supervision of the Practice Manager/Administrator and/or Director of Practice Development. The RN serves as a liaison among patients, physicians, and other components of patient care. The role supports the physician with patient histories and orders, referrals, suture removal, dressing changes, and other duties within the RN’s scope of practice. The nurse also provides health education, assists with medication refills, and answers general questions about patient care. The RN may supervise other nursing staff as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate from an NLN school of nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi.
• Complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• Complete the appropriate level of de-escalation training by the end of the 90-day position orientation.
• Maintain current continuing education units (CEUs).
• Possess current wound-care skills, including staple and suture removal.
• Possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette.
• Be proficient with computers, including keyboard use, and office technology such as telephones and fax machines, as well as MS Outlook and Word.
• Be able to work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of three years of nursing experience is preferred.
