About The Position

Valley View hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to work as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE). A SANE nurse provides compassionate, trauma-informed care to assault survivors. This is a PRN, day/evening/night position that will provide administrative assistance with program growth in a hybrid remote/in-person role.

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification through (AHA) American Heart Association
  • Must have completed Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training
  • Must have 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
  • Must have at least 1 year of SANE experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical assessments
  • Collect forensic evidence
  • Treat injuries
  • Collaborate with legal and advocacy teams
  • Take rotating triage call
  • Perform a minimum number of exams
