About The Position

Requirements

• Degree in Respiratory Care required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, and/or pulmonary function testing required
• Active ASBRT LRT required
• Active NBRC RRT required
• BLS required
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
• Strong team leadership skills
• Strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to develop trust with leaders in the organizations
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Proven track record of successful performance
• Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• If credentialed after 2002, must maintain active membership status for credentials issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned
• Neonatal Pediatric Transport certification required if assisting with regional ground transport

Responsibilities

• Perform duties involved with the treatment, management control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system.
• Manage pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes including intubation, ventilator management with conventional, as well as high-frequency oscillatory (HFO) ventilation, Nitric Oxide and surfactant administration.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport.
• Perform additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
