About The Position

The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provide respiratory care and treatment to patients throughout the hospital. The role includes aerosol therapy, basic life support (BLS), ventilator care, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory therapy treatments or interventions. The therapist reads and interprets physician prescriptions and orders to determine treatment requirements, including the type and duration of treatment.

Requirements

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Clinical training acquired through educational processes.
• Ohio licensure.
• National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification is required for Registered Respiratory Therapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and treatment to patients throughout the hospital.
