About The Position

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meet state licensure requirements and hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• For co-workers working in the Emergency Room, PALS is required.
• Be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.; pinch up to 10 lbs.; and kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.

Nice To Haves

• Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Critical care experience.
