About The Position
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital's Surgical Unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join their team. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, maintaining effective communication, and upholding professionalism. The position requires availability for a six-week paid training period, including virtual orientations, classroom sessions, training modules, and on-unit shifts. The hospital is a leading nonprofit healthcare provider in Northern Virginia, recognized nationally for safety, quality, and patient experience, and is a top employer in the D.C. metro area and the nation.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
- Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
- Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
- Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of virtual orientations, classroom-style sessions, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.
- May perform additional duties as assigned
