About The Position

Vanderbilt Health is the region’s largest comprehensive academic health system, with eight hospitals and over 180 clinics. They have a long tradition of providing world-class care, moving medicine forward through patient care, education, and research. This role is on the 7N Cohort 30 unit, a fast-paced Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit caring for a diverse cardiac patient population in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The patient population includes Cardiac Stepdown Patients, Cardiovascular & Telemetry Patients, Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Pre- and Post-Cardiac Procedures, Complex Medical & Progressive Care Patients, and Peritoneal Dialysis Patients. This position offers professional growth opportunities, skill expansion in cardiac assessment, telemetry interpretation, patient prioritization, critical thinking, and progressive care nursing, and exposure to a wide range of cardiovascular and complex medical patient populations in a high-acuity stepdown setting.

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
