About The Position
We are looking for a high-energy candidate to fill our full-time, front-desk receptionist position. This candidate should have a dynamic personality and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Steel Dynamics, Inc offers a tremendous compensation package as well as the opportunity to grow with the company.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality and work with people from all levels and backgrounds
- Willing to go the “extra mile” for service and problem resolution
Nice To Haves
- Some post-secondary education in business/accounting or equivalent experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable
- Previous experience on a multi-line switchboard
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Operation of a multi-line, fast-paced switchboard, M-F 8 am-5 pm
- Open and distribute daily incoming and outgoing mail
- Monitor front door, greet, and sign in all visitors
- Organize, maintain, and re-order office supplies
- Maintain and distribute plant-wide contact list
- Assist the Finance Department with various duties, including, but not limited to: Supporting the payables/receivables teams as needed
- Document scanning and filing
- Provide administrative help for special projects/initiatives as needed.
