About The Position

Requirements

• College Degree preferred or have at least 2 years of college education and at least 3 years of experience.
• High energy, dynamic personality and genuine passion for youth needed.
• Must be able to lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs. and climb steps.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate the after-school program in accordance with the contract goals and work scope; maintain targeted enrollment and ROP; monitor and address student retention.
• Design and implement curricula for students and/or parents as assigned.
• Maintain school-age childcare regulatory compliance with the DYCD COMPASS, NYC Department of Health, and the NYS OCFS at all times.
• Collaborate with the school administration daily.
• Coordinate assignments to Group leaders and volunteers.
• Order, prepare, and maintain needed materials for daily operation.
• Represent the program director and agency professionally at all times in the school, community, at the agency, and in public forums.
• Plan special projects and events, and focus on community service and community connectivity.
• Maintain agency, DYCD, DOH, and DOE policies and procedures at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of the children; ensure respectful communication with parents, staff, and school staff; ensure respectful treatment of school property; maintain equipment and supplies inventory.
• Participate in the student registration process to completion; maintain complete folders on children (health, parental contact information, incident reports).
• Assist in and ensure completion of all attendance and participant data related to the program/funder/agency requirements and program evaluation.
• Assist the Program Director in the screening, hiring, leading, training, and evaluation of staff.
• Help to plan staff orientations and meetings, and staff trainings as required to meet regulatory and agency standards.
