The Program Director is responsible for managing the team and supervising Therapists, Counselors and the Program Supervisor in their day-to-day implementation of the Functional Family Therapy model. Provide in-home therapeutic services to a small caseload of 4-5 families using an evidence-based approach, and continuously assess client needs to adjust services accordingly. Provide effective case supervision, case conferencing, and performance/professional development, which includes oversight of staff productivity. Meets and collaborates with FFT LLC consultant to adhere to site implementation of this evidenced-based model. Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and flexibility as part of the 24/7 on-call program requirement with solid assessment and critical thinking skills to advance the program. Functional Family Therapy is an evidence-based, in-home family therapy model that supports youth ages 11–18 and their families who are experiencing behavioral and emotional challenges at home or in their communities. The program focuses on strengthening relationships and teaching practical skills that promote understanding, stability, and positive change at home and in the community.

Requirements

  • Masters in relevant Human Services discipline required
  • A valid NJ Clinical license is required, LCSW, LPC, LMFT
  • Three (3) years of relevant direct service work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required (in Social Work, Mental Health, or related setting)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.
  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans, and utilize time effectively and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • FFT experience preferred
  • Clinical License
  • Previous training in Functional Family Therapy

Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of therapists/counselors and the Program Supervisor in their day-to-day implementation of the Functional Family Therapy model.
  • Completes necessary programmatic, Agency and state reporting as required within established timeframes.
  • Works with HR Team and Supervisor to address hiring challenges and promote open, available positions.
  • Facilitates FFT weekly clinical consultation group/staff meetings and individual supervision of program staff.
  • Provides culturally competent, in-home FFT sessions to a small caseload of 4-5 families, once per week.
  • Provide effective case supervision, case conferencing, and performance/professional development, which includes oversight of staff productivity.
  • Manage and work alongside FFT LLC. Consultant, where the frequency depends on team’s phase level within FFT LLC., to ensure the implementation of the evidence-based program model is done with adherence and competence.
  • Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and flexibility as part of the 24/7 on-call program requirement with solid assessment and critical thinking skills to advance the program.
  • Provide emotional support, appropriate intervention strategies, and adjust services accordingly.
  • Uphold ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner that positively reflects the agency culture.
  • Attends internal agency and program meetings and trainings within established time frames.
  • Attends community partnership meetings to advance the program and strengthen community relationships.
  • Follows program policies and procedures and encourages the same in others.
  • Works collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to effectively communicate and solve problems.
  • Ensures quality and accuracy of written and verbal communications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
