About The Position

Infracon Construction is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Process & Procedure Writer / Document Control Lead to help build the documentation systems that support how our company operates, communicates, and executes work. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity. You will work across the business to turn operational knowledge, informal processes, existing templates, and subject matter expertise into clear, practical, and professional documentation that can be used by both field and office teams. As Infracon continues to grow, strong documentation is becoming increasingly important to support consistency, efficiency, training, compliance, project execution, and commercial accountability. This role will help establish a more organized and reliable framework for how documents are created, reviewed, approved, stored, updated, and controlled across the company. You will play a key role in reducing rework, improving consistency, and making it easier for teams to access the right information at the right time. By creating practical procedures, templates, forms, reports, and controlled documents, you will help support better communication, stronger execution, and more efficient workflows across operations, estimating, HSE, HR, corporate services, and project teams. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, systems thinker, and practical problem-solver who can work confidently with senior leaders and subject matter experts.   • Previous experience in technical writing, procedure writing, document control, quality systems, project administration, HSE documentation, operations support, or a related role
  • Experience developing SOPs, SWPs, policies, procedures, templates, forms, or controlled documents
  • Experience in construction, civil infrastructure, mining, industrial services, energy, engineering, or a project-based environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Adobe, and document management systems
  • Experience building document templates, formatting standards, version control systems, and document registers
  • Strong writing ability with a practical understanding of how documents are used in field and office settings
  • Valid driver's licence is preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide standards for document creation, formatting, naming conventions, version control, and document ownership
  • Establish a controlled document lifecycle, including draft, review, approval, distribution, revision, archiving, and retirement of outdated documents
  • Create a consistent structure for procedures, forms, templates, reports, submissions, and controlled documents
  • Build a reliable document control framework that supports both corporate and project-level requirements
  • Ensure documents are easy to find, easy to use, and consistently maintained
  • Identify gaps in current documentation systems and develop practical solutions to improve structure, access, and accountability
  • Write, edit, and standardize company processes, procedures, Safe Work Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, operational procedures, and internal guidelines
  • Develop documentation that is practical, clear, and usable in both field and office environments
  • Convert informal processes, verbal knowledge, and inconsistent practices into structured written procedures
  • Ensure documentation reflects actual operational needs while supporting company standards, safety expectations, and compliance requirements
  • Work with subject matter experts to gather information, validate content, and ensure documents are accurate and complete
  • Maintain a consistent tone, format, and level of detail across company documentation
  • Act as the central point of ownership for company templates, procedures, forms, controlled documents, and key internal resources
  • Maintain a structured, accessible, and organized document repository
  • Eliminate duplication, conflicting versions, outdated documents, and uncontrolled templates
  • Manage document revision history, approvals, distribution records, and archived versions
  • Ensure approved documents are accessible to the appropriate teams and updated when required
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining clean, accurate, and traceable records
  • Work directly with senior leadership, operations, estimating, HSE, HR, finance, corporate services, and project teams to support documentation needs
  • Extract knowledge from leaders and subject matter experts and convert it into clear, structured, professional documents
  • Reduce the documentation burden on leadership by taking ownership of writing, formatting, revisions, and version management
  • Support the development of project-specific documentation, client-facing deliverables, internal procedures, and operational resources
  • Help ensure teams are working from current, approved, and consistent documents
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on document standards, templates, and document control expectations
  • Build and maintain standardized templates for reports, RFIs, proposals, submissions, letters, forms, meeting records, action logs, and other recurring documents
  • Improve workflow efficiency by reducing time spent recreating documents, fixing formatting, or searching for current versions
  • Identify opportunities to simplify documentation processes and reduce administrative rework
  • Support consistency in internal and external deliverables
  • Develop practical tools and templates that improve turnaround time, quality, and professionalism
  • Help create scalable documentation practices that support company growth and project execution
  • Strengthen commercial defensibility through clear version tracking, approval records, document traceability, and audit trails
  • Support documentation practices that assist with claims, disputes, client communications, change management, and project records
  • Ensure important procedures, communications, and deliverables are properly controlled and easy to reference
  • Support stronger consistency in client-facing documents, submissions, and formal correspondence
  • Work with leadership and project teams to ensure documentation supports operational accountability and risk management
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive corporate, HR, safety, commercial, or project information
