The NucOps Procedure Writer develops and updates operating and test procedures for existing nuclear power plants and new reactor designs. The role applies knowledge of integrated plant operations and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) to define how control-room operators run plants in normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions. Work includes the operating PWR fleet, including AP1000 plants, as well as next-generation reactors such as the AP300 small modular reactor and eVinci microreactor. The writer validates scenarios in control-room simulators before they are used to train reactor operators and implemented at plants. The role also develops commissioning test procedures to demonstrate component and system functionality from pre-operational testing through startup. The position collaborates with customers, plant designers, licensed reactor operators, and internal teams, and may support commissioning of new plants worldwide. The position is described as a contract role based at Westinghouse World Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, with remote candidates also considered. It reports to the Senior Manager, Engineering Nuclear Operations, Training, and Commissioning.
