About The Position

Requirements

• Board-eligible or board-certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant.
• Current license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, as determined by job location.
• Must be able to meet the stated physical and sensory requirements, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, reaching, handling, and sensory and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a similar setting is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, counsel, and educate patients and their families.
• Evaluate patients and perform physical examinations, including obtaining, studying, and updating medical histories.
• Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, including radiologic and laboratory studies, and accurately interpreting results.
• Evaluate, develop, and implement appropriate patient management and treatment plans based on assessed needs.
• Coordinate and communicate patient care with other healthcare professionals and institutions.
• Provide high-quality care based on best practices and/or evidence-based medicine.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as appropriate and within granted clinical privileges.
• Conduct virtual care services when requested, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, and escalation of care as appropriate.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, networking, professional societies, and required continuing medical education.
• Participate in researching, developing, implementing, and tracking clinical management guidelines.
• Teach multidisciplinary students and physician residents and fellows, and participate in student clinical rotation preceptorship when assigned.
• Participate in performance improvement in clinical care and outcomes, customer service, operational systems and processes, and safety, as appropriate.
• Use the electronic medical record competently, keep documentation current, and document services appropriately for billing.
• Use resources effectively and efficiently and demonstrate financial responsibility and accountability.
• Perform routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients.
• Coordinate patient care and family counseling with public and mental health agencies as appropriate.
• Teach wellness habits and educate patients about prevention and management of health problems.
• Provide information and materials relating to patients’ healthcare needs.
