About The Position

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Ability to safely mix and prepare chemical solutions while following strict safety protocols.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Successfully complete the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director and demonstrate competency, including completing the hemodialysis theory and practice course within eight weeks of hire.
• Obtain CPR certification within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Obtain Patient Care Technician certification through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire and maintain it in good standing; specific state requirements may apply.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, high-quality dialysis treatment directly to patients.
• Gather patient vital signs before and after treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment.
• Collect patient blood samples according to physician orders.
• Prepare hemodialysis machines for treatment and clean and disinfect them afterward.
• Perform machine safety checks and log results for quality control.
• Follow safety measures, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment, and comply with protocols and regulations.
• Participate in required patient assessment and care planning activities as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• Attend required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
