About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works in the 16-bed Stepdown Unit at Gateway Campus, alongside experienced nurses caring for patients who require close monitoring and advanced medical support. The unit cares for complex medical-surgical, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis patients and serves as the central monitoring hub for Gateway Hospital and The Heart Hospital. The role includes hands-on daily care, vital-sign monitoring, patient-information documentation, and compassionate support. The unit emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and specialized training.
Requirements
- BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
