About The Position
The Patient Care Technician assists with patient care based on individual patient needs. The role performs duties in the Emergency Department within the scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and/or physician.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- CNA certification or prior Patient Care Technician experience.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- STNA or PCT experience.
- Additional language skills.
- Previous experience with an EMR system.
- Medical terminology.
